Phase One: Site Development and Foundation Funding Goal: $122,000
Right now, the focus is Phase One: Site Development and Foundation, which includes clearing the area of trees and brush, excavating the hillside, and creating a 5,500 sq. ft. concrete foundation for the tile and fence.
When finished, the Red Dorje Drolo Stupa Mandala will be surrounded with an iron and masonry fence embellished with the eight auspicious symbols and adorned with 128 fine hand-carved stone stupas. Exquisite multi-colored granite tiles will be laid both inside and outside the fence to provide a peaceful walking meditation path around the perimeter. Landscaping and additional parking will complete the project with a projected completion date of Losar 2020.
