The line drawing rendering gives us only a partial glimpse of the
grandeur of
Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s vision for the Joyful Lotus
Stupa Mandala at Pema Osel Ling.
Rinpoche envisioned
enclosing the Stupa Mandala with an elaborate Vajra Wall composed of masonry columns alternating with specially designed wrought iron panels embellished with Auspicious Symbols. Atop the wall will be 128 small stone stupas, each a replica of one of the eight Sugatas Buddha stupas.

In the four cardinal directions will be four elaborate gates, and the whole Stupa Mandala will be surrounded outside the wall by a paved korwa or walking path for circumambulation of the Stupa Mandala. There will be prayer flags at the edges of the path and beautiful landscaping to complete the perfection of the site. Plans also include a large tent for practice in the space newly created by excavation.

Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche, the spiritual director of the Vajrayana Foundation has committed to bring this vision to fruition.  We begin work in early 2018 and our goal is to be completed by the end of the year. We invite you to join us in creating an auspicious beginning for this project by contributing to this initial request for funds.
